About this mantra

The Panchakshara (five-syllable) mantra — na-mah-shi-vā-ya — found in the Shri Rudram of the Yajur Veda. It is simple to learn and one of the most widely chanted mantras in India.

How to chant: repeat it softly or silently with the breath. It works beautifully as a short daily meditation of 108 repetitions.
