Surya Namaskar, the salutation to the sun, links twelve postures with the breath in a flowing sequence. Each round is offered with gratitude to Surya. Begin with 3 rounds and build slowly to 6 or 12 as the body allows. Practise facing the rising sun where possible, on an empty stomach.

What it supports

  • Supports flexibility and strength across the body
  • Brings breath and movement into rhythm
  • Leaves you feeling awake and energised
