It is the traditional day to honour one's guru and all teachers: parents, mentors, authors and guides. Students offer flowers, fruit and gratitude, and many renew their commitment to study and practice.
If you have received a mantra or teaching from a guru, this is a natural day to sit with it. If not, honour those who have shaped your understanding, and begin a small daily practice of learning.
